Houston DSA and UPS/Teamster get Strike Ready!

July 22 @ 4:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join Houston DSA for a barbeque and fundraiser and get STRIKE READY!

The Democratic Socialists of America are getting strike-ready in 2023! With the UPS Teamster contract ending on July 31, we’re looking at what could be the biggest private sector strike since 1997, and DSA members will be on the picket line supporting our fellow workers.

On July 22, join Houston DSA at the Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation (2506 Sutherland St, 77023) for barbeque and labor trivia. We’ll hear from UPS Teamsters, union Starbucks workers, and others, and discuss the logistics of how Houston DSA will be supporting the Teamsters if they strike on August 1. All donations will go to the DSA Labor Solidarity Fund, a national fund used to support DSA labor campaigns across the country as we get STRIKE READY!
