In the last year, the US and Israel have killed over possibly 200,000 Palestinians and devastated millions more lives in its genocidal assault to destroy Gaza and the West Bank. As core to the violent and imperialist tenets of Zionism, Israel has also expanded its aggression to Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran in an effort to draw the region and world into war.

Israel has worked to destroy Palestinian life by indiscriminately attacking Gaza, committing regular mass displacements, weaponizing food and water, attacking hospitals, assassinating health care workers, ethnically cleansing the West Bank, assassinating journalists, imprisoning and abusing thousands of political prisoners, and more. All of this is done with US support, political cover, and weapons while American workers face climate catastrophe and heightened fascism.

As Israel works to seize Gaza and the West Bank, it has conducted a campaign of airstrikes, assassinations, and terrorist campaigns across the region to trigger a war with even greater US support. In the last month, Israel twice detonated pagers deceptively loaded with explosives to kill dozens and injure thousands in Lebanon. It expanded its airstrike campaign throughout the country, killing thousands and displacing over one-fifth of Lebanon’s population. Now, it attempts to invade the country. 

In the last year, Houston DSA has worked to defend Palestine through protest, pressuring politicians, political prisoner solidarity, and pressuring Chevron to end its theft of Palestinian natural resources. We will continue this work to fight for a free Palestine.

Houston DSA demands a permanent arms embargo on Israel to end the ongoing genocide, the war against Lebanon, and the Nakba against the Palestinian people.

We demand the full right of return for Palestinian refugees and their descendants to a free Palestine, from the river to the sea.

We demand the release of all Palestinian political prisoners and political prisoners across the world that have defended Palestine.

We demand truth, reconciliation, and prosecution to expose the full violence of the Nakba.

We demand reparations from the US, Israel, and all states, corporations, organizations, and individuals complicit in the Nakba to the Palestinian people and Palestine.

We are committed to the unified struggle with the Palestinian people and all the progressive world against Zionism, settler colonialism, and imperialism to stop the genocide, prevent war, and end the Nakba.
