The school year is back, and Summer is almost done… so time to still party!
Come out to Bohemeo’s and have a good time before dipping your head in books and essays.
Houston Democratic Socialists of America are hosting this event to introduce new students and the community to our UH YDSA branch, and the many topics we help fight for.
One of the biggest issues that we are raising awareness about is the fight for better pay for the UH English Dept. Student workers and TAs have had the same payrate for over 20 years. Those running the school have seen huge increases in their salary, but these students have been given the short end of the stick for far too long.
Visit us and show your support for this cause, and learn more about what we do.
There will be others tabling and showing what they are about, along with awesome music and vendors.

We will be discussing our actions as a WG, long-term plans, potential political programs, and the role of caucuses within Houston DSA. This meeting will be hybrid.
