This will be our first caravan to join the picket line with members of United Steelworkers Local 13-243 in Beaumont. They have been locked out by Exxon in a labor dispute which has attracted national attention thanks to Exxon’s aggressive union-busting.

Houston DSA Membership has overwhelmingly approved a resolution in support of these locked-out workers. The union has been clear that they need one thing above all else– people to join them on the picket line. We must answer the call.

We will meet at Target at 8:30 Saturday morning to consolidate before making the drive to Beaumont. Bring your family, bring your friends, bring everyone! No experience required, everyone is welcome.
