Join Houston DSA for our Red Square- “How the Constitution made Trump a King” this Monday, June 23rd, 7pm online with guest speaker, Cliff Connolly!

We’ll discuss the history of how the U.S. Constitution sets the foundation for the fundamentally undemocratic structure of our state, how it’s been used to oppress indigenous, black, brown, and migrant struggles for equality, and how it created the conditions for Trump’s ascent to power while he simultaneously continues to provoke a potential constitutional crisis.

Finally, we’ll try to answer the eternal question “What Is To Be Done?” and figure how to face the current moment and win a real democracy ruled by and for the working class.
