Houston DSA is proud to host DSA member and author, Nafis Hasan, for a discussion of his book, Metastasis: The Rise of the Cancer-Industrial Complex and the Horizons of Care, a rethinking of cancer as merely biological, taking into consideration the ways that capitalist imperatives shape how we study and care for cancer and why this neoliberal framing does us more harm than good.  Presented by Houston DSA’s Political Education Working Group, we hope you will join us as we present a night of discussion that will be enlightening regardless of how cancer has impacted your life.
