Join Houston DSA for the second of a three session workshop on Jane McAlevey’s, No Shortcuts: Organizing For Power In the New Gilded Age. McAlevey and her work have influenced democratic movements winning real power for the working class, from Starbucks baristas to public school teachers to workers fighting to make their unions more responsive! We’ll examine our work in DSA, how we can build real material power, and how to win a better world. By the conclusion of the sessions, you’ll have gained the skills and analysis to become a member of the fighting working class!

Please read “Chapter 2. The Power to Win is in the Community, Not the Boardroom” and “Chapter 3. Nursing Home Unions: Class Snuggle vs. Class Struggle” before attending.
