Houston DSA’s Labor Working Group is meeting on Wednesday, January 26 @ 6 pm. RSVP for our Zoom registration link!

Houston DSA members overwhelmingly approved a resolution in support of USW Local 13-243. We’ve gone to Beaumont to stand in solidarity on the picket line, supporting the steelworkers who have been locked out by Exxonmobil since May in an effort to break worker power. More picket line trips are scheduled (see houstondsa.org/calendar) and we are looking to next steps to support USW.

We’ll be discussing how to proceed with this campaign into the new year. There have been some interesting and promising developments such as the NLRB impounding the ballots on a USW decertification vote, so it’s important we discuss strategy.
