Hammer and Hoe Session 2: Radical Tactics

February 25 @ 7:00 pm 8:00 pm

708 Telephone Road
Houston, TX 77023 United States

Join Houston DSA for the second session of a series in which we discuss Robin D.G. Kelley’s “groundbreaking contribution to the history of the ‘long Civil Rights movement,’ Hammer and Hoe tells the story of how, during the 1930s and 40s, Communists took on Alabama’s repressive, racist police state to fight for economic justice, civil and political rights, and racial equality.” What lessons can we draw from this moment as we struggle against fascism in our own time?

In this second session of three part series, we will be discussing chapters 2, 3 and 4 of Hammer and Hoe.

This event is hybrid. If attending virtually, a zoom link will be provided once you RSVP.
