The Steering Committee of Houston DSA is calling on all members to prioritize an urgent chapter meeting, scheduled on Wednesday, March 2nd at 7pm. This meeting will feature two speakers from Community Voices for Public Education (CVPE) and Houston DSA, followed by an open discussion around one agenda item: the fight against the far-right in Houston – and everywhere else.

CVPE is calling on its members and allies to show out on March 11 to counter a growing, aggressive, and disruptive far-right presence at local school board meetings. The alarming advance of the far-right, however, is not local or recent but developed and nationwide with grave consequences for everything dear to oppressed and working-class people should it continue unchecked. Therefore, we have called what is an urgent, overdue meeting of our membership and allies.
