Hey everyone! Greetings from the Resolutions & Bylaws Writing Committee. We are quickly approaching the long awaited 2023 HDSA Chapter Convention on Saturday March 11!  

We had our first writing workshop at the S. Shepherd Starbucks- we had 12 members attend & it was a great success! A lot of progress was made on resolutions & a bylaw amendment. A special thanks to Jeffrey for his guidance & skill sharing on resolution writing.

We are going to have a second workshop on Saturday February 4th at 1pm held at the first unionized Starbucks on Shepherd Drive. We will be finalizing our drafts- everyone is welcome to join us! This is a great opportunity to learn about the democratic process of running the chapter if you are new in our chapter. For those who have been involved in the trenches for quite a while, this is a great chance to share your institutional knowledge with newer members & connect with them as well as other comrades.

Come support the unionized Starbucks workers & help guide the chapter forward- this convention will determine the immediate future of the chapter & its priorities.

Reminder: The resolutions and bylaws amendment proposal submission period opened on Sat. Jan. 14. The submission period will close on Sat. Feb. 18. Shortly after this period, the proposals will be shared with membership & open to review & amendment suggestions to the proposals.
