Join the HDSA Political Education Committee at Carnegie Neighborhood Library for part 1 of the Marxist Unity Group’s facilitated reading of W.E.B. Du Bois’s Black Reconstruction In America, a groundbreaking Marxist history of the rise and fall of Reconstruction in the United States — the world-historic revolution of democracy in the South led by formerly enslaved Black people, and the racist counter-revolution of the white planter class that swept away this new society and delivered Jim Crow.

The full reading group runs from July 11th through October 10th, and HDSA is gathering in-person to participate in the first reading covering the Introduction.
