💥HOUSTON FIGHTS BACK! – 5/30, 1PM, CORE CIVIC ICE DETENTION FACILITY

Greg Abbott continues to escalate his racist war against immigrant communities by cracking down on all cities who refuse to comply with his demands. Just last month, Abbott threatened to withhold $110 million in funding from Houston in retaliation for the city voting to limit HPD and ICE collaboration. The reality is that these policies were won as a result of widespread pressure from below – the people of Houston and the state of Texas say immigrants are welcome here, and we refuse to bow down to Abbott!

Texas is home to roughly 5 million immigrants – almost 20% of our entire population. And at the same time, our state leads the nation in ICE detentions. Houston is at the top of this list across the country in terms of immigration related arrests. Immigrants make Texas run, and forcing our families and neighbors to live in fear of deportation is unacceptable.
