Join Houston DSA as we relaunch our Red Square series, where we discuss current events through a socialist lens. This session will be a discussion of Red Scares, periods of repression against left wing movements. We’ll anchor our discussion with Benjamin Balthaser’s excellent recent Jacobin article, but we’ll also discuss other examples, and touch on NSPM-7, a presidential directive that is a recipe for further state repression. Join us to share your knowledge and concerns, and together we’ll learn how to build solidarity as we organize for a better world.
