It’s time to rally for A Green New Deal for Public Schools! We will gather outside Rep. Sylvia Garcia’s office (11811 East Freeway, Suite 430, Houston, TX 77029) on Thursday, September 23 at 5:30 pm. Houston DSA and other community organizations have pressured her and other Democratic representatives to co-sponsor this transformative legislation and to support its provisions in the budget reconciliation process, ahead of the pivotal House vote. We will have speakers talking about the bill’s impacts for students, teachers, and workers in our schools and communities. We’ll also have signs and banners at our rally, but feel free to bring your own. Join us!
