American politics is in crisis. Too many working people are finding their wages stagnant, retirement deferred and their premiums rising. Medicare for All can solve the crisis in health care but more importantly it represents a transformative demand that has the potential to change American politics all together.
Long-time DSA member, Sanders Institute Fellow and leader in the Healthy California single-payer campaign Michael Lighty, along with DSA single payer advocate Tim Faust, will visit Houston on Saturday, October 20th to discuss the crisis of neoliberalism politically and economically, the need for Democratic Socialism as the answer to Trumpism and the demand for Medicare for All as the major demand that can galvanize a mass working class base in the next two years.
The meeting will be in Pecor Hall and admission is free.
