Abolition Working Group meets on the Third Thursday of every month. We recently co-hosted an action at DA Kim Ogg’s birthday fundraiser to protest the conditions and deaths in Harris County Jail and are working with our coalition partners to build our organizing power. Join us as we also continue our Neighbors Against Spying campaign to pressure HPD to cancel its surveillance partnership with Amazon Ring, which can allow police to access residents’ Ring Doorbell Cameras. We are also preparing Digital Security Trainings for the community!
